L’UCLouvain, issue de la scission de l’Université catholique de Louvain en 1968, est aujourd’hui une institution majeure de l’enseignement supérieur, reconnue internationalement.

Moderniser l’identité de l’UCLouvain pour refléter son rayonnement académique et international tout en assurant une continuité avec son héritage et sa mission d’excellence.

Approche stratégique
Définition d’une stratégie de marque qui renforce la visibilité de l’université et clarifie son positionnement. Création d’une identité visuelle qui unifie ses multiples sites et disciplines sous une image forte et cohérente.

Solution créative
Naming : La transition vers « UCLouvain » marque une évolution naturelle, ancrée dans l’histoire de l’institution tout en affirmant son identité moderne et inclusive.
Design : Une identité visuelle sobre et institutionnelle, reposant sur une palette de bleus symbolisant la rigueur académique et l’innovation. Déclinaison sur l’ensemble des supports de communication : web, signalétique, publications, garantissant une cohérence et une reconnaissance immédiate. Cette refonte permet à UCLouvain de renforcer son image en tant qu’université de référence, combinant héritage, modernité et ouverture sur le monde.

students, 2,286 academics, 2,517
scientists and 2,082 staff members.
It is the first and oldest university in
the Wallonia–Brussels federation.
The challenge was to redefine the visual identity of UCLouvain by taking
into account its merger with Saint-Louis University and increase its inter-
national visibility.
The graphic identity is based on the concept of “radiance”. This ex-
presses both the concentration of knowledge and its influence in the
world. Two bases which are superimposed with a play of transpar-
ency to make emerge a “U” and an “L” and constitute an emblem at
the same time stable and dynamic. The form is then declined in the
graphic line and is deployed on all communication media.
